ITINERARY
Night 1: Hanoi – Lao Cai (night train)
19h30: Our guide pick you up from your hotel to go to Hanoi railway station, catch the night train for Lao Cai. You will have a good sleep with the soft sleeper bed.
Day 1 Saturday: Can Cau Market (B,L,D)
After breakfast at Lao Cai you will take a 2:30 hours drive to Can Cau market. Your journey will take you through the mountainous border area between Viet Nam and China. Situated 20 kilometres from Bac Ha, Can Cau is a small but very colorful market. Opening only on Saturdays, it always delivers a very photogenic display of Flower Hmong , Nung and Phu La ethnic costumes. After spending the morning exploring the market, you will leave for Bac Ha town where you will have lunch. From Bac Ha you drive downhill (1/2 hour) to start a short walk to Trung Do Village which belongs to the Tay minority. You have the opportunity to visit a traditional Tay house. We then travel by boat through amazing countryside to Bao Nhai Village. Transfer to Sa Pa have dinner and overnight in Sapa.
Day 2: Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van (B,L,D)
After breakfast, A short walk of 6 km from Sapa to the Black H’mong village of Y Linh Ho and Lao Chai where excellent panoramas of the larger valley, paddy terraced fields and the H’mong village are offered. We take a small local path leading into the bottom of the valley, where some stalls are available that serve tea and fruits; a perfect spot to take a rest and have lunch. After lunch you will visit the Zay people of Ta Van, which lies in the middle of the Muong Hoa valley.
You will get back to Sapa town by car. Have a shower at hotel.
16h00: Bus take you to LaoCai. .
18h30: Have dinner at restaurant, free to go shopping before the night train back to Ha Noi.
Night 3: Train Lao Cai – Hanoi
21h00: Soft sleeper train back to Hanoi.
05h00: You will be in Hanoi station. Tour ends.
