Bicycle trip to Tam Duong 2 days 3 nights

Tour overview:
Binh Lu and Tam Duong is located on the other side of Sapa, passing the 1900 meter of Tram Ton Pass, Vietnam's highest mountain pass and considered the most beautiful stretch of road in the country. Biking through some remote villages of Lu and Laos tribes and staying overnight with the local people will be great experience.
Heaven Gate in Sa Pa

Night 1: Hanoi - Lao Cai
Pick you up at the hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter, transfer to Hanoi station to catch a night train to Lao Cai.
Overnight on the train with soft sleeper berth (4 people share with one cabin)

Day 1. Sapa - Heavens Gate - Binh Lu - Tam Duong (L,D)

You will start out from Sapa by cycling the 16 kilometers uphill to the Vietnam highest pass of Tram Ton, at 2000 meters above sea level. From here it is downhill for around 26 kilometers on the road described as the most beautiful one in Vietnam with breathtaking scenery all the way to Binh Lu. In the late afternoon you will arrive in Tam Duong, where you will stay overnight in a comfortable local guesthouse.

Distance: 73 Km (15 km in jeep)
Up / Straight / Down: 18 km / 3 km / 37 km

Day 2. Tam Duong - Phong Tho - Binh Lu - Sapa (B,L)

Sa Pa market
 
The next morning you can explore the market in Tam Duong, before starting on your journey back towards Binh Lu. There is almost no traffic and you will cycle through small villages and meet different ethnic minorities. Your jeep will be waiting in Tam Duong to take you back to Sapa. You will arrive back in Sapa later that afternoon.
Data day 2:
Distance: 55 Km (15 km in jeep)
Up / straight / down: 7 km / 11 km / 37 km

Night 3: Lao Cai - Hanoi

Overnight on the train.
Arrive in Hanoi around 05.30 am. End of services.
