Muong Hoa Valley

Muong Hoa Valley
The Muong Hoa valley is famous for breathtaking scenery and is the largest farmland for rice growing in Sapa distric. This valley starts as a small stream of water from the foot of Silver Waterfall about 14 Km northwest of Sapa town, weaving its way along mountains’ feet southeast between the two mountain ranges.

Location :   About eight kilometers southeast of Sapa town, the two mountain ranges open wider to form the Muong Hoa Valley which get wider and wider as it goes further south about 30 km.

Probably. Muong Hoa is the most beautiful valley in the region.  This valley lies between two high ranges of mountains running in parallel southeast of Sapa town. From the highest elevation of the mountain range covered by endless forests, rain water follows dozens of streams downhill to the floor forming the Muong Hoa River which peacefully flows through the valley, weaving itself along foots of mountains. Here in this valley, the H’mong, Zao, Zay minority people, has been working on the slopping land and living their own ways for hundreds years.

Departing from Sapa, you will enjoy an easy walk downhill and along Muong Hoa River for a 4 to 5 hours, through terraced fields passing some hamlets of the H’mong people such as Y Linh Ho, Lao Chai…, watching locals at work, paying visit to local homes for a fantastic discovery of their living ways.
